Learn about Domestic Violence and Asian Family Issues
Domestic violence includes mental, emotional, verbal or physical abuse such as constant
demeaning and humiliating remarks, threats, slapping, kicking, choking, destroying
property, economic deprivation, forced sexual activity, isolation and starvation.
It is against the law to hit or abuse another person. Inform others about it and our
services.
Be Supportive of Victims
Convince the victim that domestic violence is never her/his fault. The abuser chooses to
react by being abusive. Help the victim make informed choices to protect her/himself and
the children. Children who live with domestic violence are 300% more likely to become
abusers or victims.
Help Abusers Get into an Accredited Group Counseling Program for Abusers.
