Apna Ghar Wish List

How are gifts made to Apna Ghar?
Funds are given by individuals, families, corporations and foundations interested in providing support to Apna Ghar.  These gifts make up the income needed to run and further develop Apna Ghar programs.

Donors are assured that their gifts will always be managed and administered in accordance with their wishes, and for the overall well-being of the organization.

A donor may make a gift of any size and may specify how their gift is to be used, or limit their gift to specific programs.

Gifts may be in cash, payroll deductions, stock transfers, bonds, bequests, annuities, and in-kind.

Wish List Items

  • Furniture such as chairs, tables, lamps, bookshelves, etc...
  • Household electrical appliances such as toasters, etc...
  • Household furnishings such as window treatments, linens, etc...
  • Art supplies
  • Children's toys , cribs and baby supplies
  • Garden shrubs and plants ; outdoor furniture
  • Pots, pans and other kitchen utensils
  • Tool box and tools -- socket and crescent wrenches, set of screw drivers, etc...

Volunteer Wish List
(as much or as little time as you can donate)

  • Mentors for women and children/youth to demonstrate a healthy lifestyle and inspire interest in a career and expanding horizons
  • Facilitator for any programs for children, such as story telling, creative writing, coaching a sport, computer fun and games, music and/or dance
  • Volunteers to paint and wallpaper walls, do floor stenciling, make shades/curtains/drapes, etc...
  • A volunteer with a truck or large van for hauling donations of furniture.
  • Specific arts and crafts instructor--calligraphy, toll painting, fabric painting, needlework, dried or fresh flower arrangements, sewing/quilting, drawing/painting, candlemaking, leatherwork, etc...
  • Aerobics, or other exercise instructor
